Santina’s journey from suffering to awareness and understanding through yoga has led her to a rich and real study of yoga as a living practice. San’s practice embodies the Ashtanga Yoga system, and she has diligently completed the Primary, 2nd and 3rd series of this method under the guidance of Mark Togni. Santina first travelled to Mysore, South India in 2014 and commenced tutelage under R. Sharath Jois, grandson of the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, and current Director of KPJAYI, the birthplace of Ashtanga Yoga. In 2016, Santina was granted Level 2 Authorisation to teach Ashtanga Yoga, by her teacher R. Sharath Jois. Santina is also a certified Master Teacher in the Nicky Knoff Yoga System.

As Santina’s teacher, R. Sharath Jois, says “Yoga is a spiritual practice;” so through devotion, determination and tender endurance with each asana of her advanced Ashtanga yoga practice, San has developed an intimacy with the physiology and spirituality of our human form. San’s commitment to a life of process, practice and courage cultivates rich soil from which to provide meaningful guidance as an Ashtanga yoga teacher. Santina augments her yoga teaching with her work as a therapist, holding a Masters of Gestalt Therapy — A humanistic therapy focusing on sharpening an individual’s awareness of emotions and behaviours in their experience of themselves in the present moment, to reveal what really “is”.


Friday: 17:30 – 20:00 Pelvic Power – The potential of the Pelvic Floor

Core strength – is more than just a set of abdominal exercises. It is about developing dynamic flexibility in the pelvic floor muscles.

This workshop provides the brain with the feedback it needs to create improved ease of movement, flexibility and strength. In this workshop we discover how specific movements of the pelvis make abdominal and pelvic stability a whole new training field. Discover this new approach to pelvic dynamics and open the door to the wonderful world of imagination.
I give a detailed workshop (with handouts) on how the pelvic floor muscles are exercised to create more dynamic flexibility, which affects not only hip flexibility, but the entire spine. I use movement, visualisation, asana and touch to develop an visceral understanding on how these muscles affect your entire body.
Learning to harness core strength will unlock new potential for deep and lasting physical transformation. Core strength is achieved through the detailed and subtle practice of applying muscle locks or ‘bandhas’, which we’ll demystify, discuss, and practice throughout the afternoon.
This workshop will be a fun combination of demonstration and practical experience aimed at boosting your strength and confidence and leaving you with a deeper understanding of your body and its potential for growth. Learn to nurture powerful stomach, back, and leg strength with correct alignment and feel your physical limitations begin to dissolve.

Once the core is stable and strong, your practice will take a quantum leap into new territory! This the key to jump backs/throughs, arm balances - AND FLIGHT!!

Saturday : 10:30 – 13:30 Understanding the patterns of Apana and Prana in the Ashtanga Yoga Method

Learn the internal patterns which open the central core of your body, and go deep. Use breath,queues and a steady pace to move through surya A and B, standing forward folds and supine and seated poses. As your breath flows, rolls and curls like waves, yoga postures relate to each other. Feel how this brings a remarkable sense of relief and clarity in your mind and body.
Exercises for the Apana pattern. Apana is the pattern throughout your body controlling exhaling and grounding. A practice that reveals the pattern and movements of apana and shows the secrets of how to train it. Open and feel the channels which allow you to drop your breath.

Sunday: 9:30 – 12:00 Juicy Psoas Conscious Core - awareness and yoga alignment workshop

The psoas is a deep muscle that is a major player in our body that has many jobs. It acts as a stabilizer between the lower body and the upper body, it is a mover of the legs and it creates flexion of the hips. For yoga practitioners, having a juicy psoas and awakened core has a tremendous positive effect on forward bends, backbends and twists. Besides the physical benefits of a healthy psoas, this hipflexor also has a powerful effect on how able you are to relax and feel good in your body. With the psoas being responsible for many functions, tightness in this muscle is very common in all people, even active people. It can lead to problems ranging from back pain to knee and ankle issues. Body workers and yoga teachers are now getting more familiar with the workings of this important deep hipflexor.

In addition to its physcial role, the psoas is also an “emotional” muscle and your “second brain.” Stress, unprocessed trauma and emotions are stored deep within your body, and in the psoas muscle. To access this part of yourself and to learn to release it, can be of great benefit to finding more ease, wellbeing and vitality.
In this day workshop, you will be introduced to your psoas, learn how through various easy exercises how to align your pelvis, access your psoas and move from your core!
The workshop is accessible to students of all levels, an can be of particular interest to yoga teachers wanting to learn more about the effect of the psoas and pelvic alignment in yoga and vice versa.

In these workshops, you will learn:
1. How to align your pelvis and low back in different asana
2. How to locate your psoas and determine the effect on your posture
3. About the role of the psoas on all levels of being - physiological, emotional and energetic levels
4. How to release the psoas and become conscious of your abdominal muscles to discover balance in your body
5. How to strengthen the different layers of your abdomen
6. How to strengthen and lengthen the psoas
7. Simple exercises and imagery to effectively juice up your psoas for frictionless movement


13:30 – 16:00 Gateway Postures - traditional and functional gateway postures into the Primary Series.

Deconstrucing some of the most challenging poses in the Primary Series. Are you intimidated or struggling with Marichiasana C and D, Bhujapidasana, or Supta Kurmasana? Is lotus or half lotus creating knee problems? You’re not the only one This is the most challenging and important group of four seated
postures. Learn safe and effective modifications into lotus positions.
Using the rehabilitation method, if you have an injury or want to avoid injury you can experiment with various versions of alignment. This workshop is structured to alleivate anxiety and fear that can come to the surface when we think of practicing these challenging asanas. We will discuss the fundamental principles of these asana and develop safe and effective plan to take the postures or prepare the body for the postures one day.

Jelikož z vlastní zkušenosti ví, jak může být náročné pracovat s propojenou oblastí kyčlí a spodních zad, rozhodla se s vámi o své zkušenosti a tipy vzešlé z její jógové  praxe podělit. Mark Robberds has been studying yoga since 1997. He is a Certified Ashtanga Yoga teacher (one of the few Certified by KPJAYI) and since 1999 has been travelling regularly to India to practice with the late, legendary Guru Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois, and his grandson R. Sharath, of Mysore. He also trained as an apprentice, with Eileen Hall from 1999-2005 at YogaMoves in Sydney and taught the busiest Mysore programme in Australia at the time.
Mark has studied extensively with some of the world’s best yoga teachers including Richard Freeman and Dena Kingsberg, and he continues to learn from masters in various disciplines in his quest to reach the highest point in human evolution. His teaching reflects the essence of these influences.
In 2004 Mark realised that in this lifetime he wanted to wake up to his true purpose. A part of that journey has been to travel all over the world and to go deeper into his own love of yoga, surfing, teaching and music, and in doing so, find the thread that connects them all.
He has been teaching workshops, retreats and as a guest teacher, internationally since 2005. Mark wishes to share the teachings of yoga in a way that inspires people to develop a passion and love for the practice. He teaches each individual uniquely and is focused on helping each student to reach their full potential in life.

Otevírání kyčlí

Budeme hledat přístup do svých energetických center hluboko v pánvi a naučíme se zrelaxovat a uvolnit kyčle svobodně a pohodlně. S anatomickým porozuměním aktivace kostí a svalů, které je potřebné pro dosažení přirozené externí rotace v kyčli, zvládnutelné každým z nás, budeme hravě prozkoumávat prostor ve svých kyčelních kloubech. 
Hlavně se  ale napojíme na své kyčle a tím odemkneme  mnohem větší potenciál jejich pohybu.

Magie Ashtangy: Dech, Pozice a Pohled

Pronikneme do tajemství linie Ashtanga  jógy známe jako Tristhana  method a objevíme magii dechu (Pranayama), pozice (Asana) a směru pohledu (Drishti). Rozebereme správné  nastavení těla v klíčových pozicích Ashtanga jógy a vytvoříme základ pro praxi která je založena na soustředěné  s meditativní  praxi. Začneme s pozdravy slunci a postupně se pro pracujeme přes stojné pozice k praxi, která v sobě zahrnuje nejen tělesnou, ale i mentální práci. Naučíme se jak se touto tradiční metodou jógových pozic dostat do příjemného stavu "tady a teď".

Balance na rukách pro všechny

Zapotíme se, zatímco se načíme bezpečně balancovat na svých rukách. Pobavíme se, zatímco zapracujeme na své síle a bude to trochu výzva.
Demystifikujeme magii balancování na rukách a uděláme ho přístupné všem,  kdo se nebojí zapracovat na tom, aby pocítili krásu letu. Když se totiž dělají správně, budují balance na rukách sebevědomí,  zvyšují naší tělesnou energii a léčí stará  zranění. Každý student pak bude odcházet s technikami, se kterými může bezpečně vybudovat svalovou podporu těla pro všechny pozice,  kde potřebujeme sílu

Zjistíte jaká jsou tajemství hlubokých zákonů, díky kombinaci anatomických principů,  zdravého postavení těla a zábavních protahovacích technik. Gain access to the energy centers deep within the pelvis and learn to relax and release your hips into freedom. Ashtanga Magic: Breath, Posture and Gaze
Delve into the secrets of the Ashtanga Yoga lineage, known as the Tristana method, and discover the magic of breath (pranayama), posture (asana) and focal point (dristhi). Break down the energetic alignment of key postures in the Ashtanga Yoga method and build the foundation for a meditative, awareness based practice. Starting off with the Sun Salutations and progressing through the Standing Postures, Kino guides you into a devotional practice that mergers the physical and subtle bodies and honors tradition while embodying the present. All levels.
2 - 4 PM
Arm Balances for Everyone
Break a sweat while learning to safely balance on your hands, have fun while challenging yourself and gain access to your own inner strength. The magic of the arm balance is demystified and made approachable so that every practitioner who is not afraid to put in the work can feel the beauty of flight. When done correctly arm balances can build self-esteem, increase energy flow and heal old injuries. Every student will leave with proven techniques to safely build the structural support necessary for stability in all strength based postures.

Ashtanga Yoga Full Primary Series
Surrender to the traditional Ashtanga Yoga method with careful emphasis on the traditional vinyasa method and have fun along the journey. Experience the integrity and purity of the Ashtanga Yoga practice and be  prepared to sweat.

Fearless Backbends
If you enjoy a challenge but think you are too stiff to ever bend your back then this is the perfect class for you. By understanding how to work your body in a safe way you will learn what it takes to really bend over backwards with no fear. The secrets of deep backbends are available to you through the integration of sound anatomical principles, healthy alignment techniques and intensely fun stretches. The dynamic movement mechanics of bending your spine are the key to limitless flows of energy and in this class you will begin to explore you natural potential to for deep backbends with safety, support and enthusiasm.

About Kino MacGregor
Kino MacGregor is one of a select group of people to receive the Certification to teach Ashtanga Yoga by its founder Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. The youngest woman to hold this title, she has completed the challenging Third Series and is now learning the Fourth Series. After spending a major portion of her life actively engaged in personal growth work, Kino returned to Miami Beach to create a space dedicated to the integration of yoga, holistic health and consciousness. In 2006, she and her husband Tim Feldmann founded Miami Life Center, where they now teach daily classes, workshops and intensives together.
